General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule Proposal Preparation

Who is GSA?

GSA is the federal government’s business manager, buyer, real estate developer, telecommunications manager and IT solutions provider. Billions of dollars worth of products and services for federal agencies are contracted yearly through contract vehicle called Schedules.

Why have your Products/Services on the Schedule?

The schedules are one the best methods to use, to sell your products/services to the government. Many agencies/departments will not do business with your company unless your products/services are listed on a schedule.

Reasons why products and services are purchased from Schedules:

  1. GSA has evaluated the product and found it commercially and technically viable.
  2. Verification has been established that the company offering the product/service is financially sound.
  3. Advantageous for the government because price, terms and conditions have been negotiated and vendors have been vetted.

Why establish a GSA Schedule?

  • It is the quickest way for agencies to acquire your products/services.
  • GSA Schedules are currently the contract vehicles of choice and over 60 schedules are available in areas of goods and services.
  • Obtaining a federal GSA Schedule also enables you to do business with prime contractors, state and local governments.

Why engage Government Marketing Solutions?

  • Proven experience with preparing winning proposals
  • Reduce preparation costs
  • Limit unnecessary paper work
  • Locate the right Schedule
  • Understand government requirements
  • Learn the government Marketing and sales process

Mentor Protégé Program Development

A major stumbling block to the achievement of the 5% SDB subcontracting goals mandated by Congress is the assertion by large DOD prime contractors that there are not enough qualified Small Businesses to perform as subcontractors on DoD work. Therefore, a primary goal of government Mentor-Protégé program is to increase the capabilities of eligible Protégés to the point where more of them can perform significant work on government contracts and should result in an increase in the overall subcontracting levels.

GMS develops Mentor Protégé programs that promote long-term strategic relationships between government agencies, prime contractors and small businesses. We provide the following support services:

  • Mentor Protégé Program development – We design Mentor Protégé programs that enable prime contractors to develop strategic teaming partner relationships needed to be competitive and gain entry into new markets.
  • Targeting – We facilitate “needs assessments” between both the mentor and protégé so that the best mentoring support is achieved.
  • Gap Analysis – We help identify the appropriate protégé firms based on the company’s long-term business development plans.
  • Proposal development – Our experts help your company through the government Mentor Protégé program requirements and paperwork needed to win Mentor Protégé Agreements with the DOD and other federal agencies.
  • Implementation – We help with implementing your approved Agreement by defining milestones, communication plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Reporting – Based on the proposed measurable outcomes of the mentoring relationship we design the most comprehensive online reporting system for tracking day-to–day mentoring activity, business development opportunities and program successes. Our system collects the required data needed to meet government-reporting requirements.
